Got offered a set of 6 1/2" splits and a 12" Sub woofer by JBL ....
The woofer has a humungus magnet on it... the splits come with crossovers...
Im unsure the modal numbers but the guy wants $450 for the lot.......
Is this good?
Whats JBL stuff like/
he said it came out of a Magna...
Its the guy who did the window tinting for me today.

I'm unsure about the jbl splits but it would be unlike JBL to make shoddy equiptment
As for their subs, i have heard nuthing but good things about them, really bassy with a good sound.
And yes the all have enourmous magnets on them, but i dunno, the bigger the better:D

JBL are very good :)
Very SPL based but nice. A lot of concert and nightclub equipment is JBL.
See if u can have a listen before buying but @ $450 it sounds like a good deal :)

pretty sure jbl are made in china.....
spl yes sq not really.....
the amps are pretty good..... subs are able to play deep and low.... not sure about the speakers
they pretty cheap..... pretty sure stratfeild sell them.....
price them up there first.. u may be abkle to get them roughly the same price for brand new or close to it. then u get a warranty with it too....

JBL are ok....they're not the best, but they're not the worst. If you go down to your local Strathfield...you may be able haggle them and get them brand new for almost the same price.

Well if u look at RRP prices on that site - the splits are 230 and sub is 600!! That is US my friend so converted to Aus $ you are looking at around $Au1200 so you do the math!!

I have the GTO605 splits in the front of mine, and they sound great. A guy up the road from me has Pioneer splits in his, and I thought mine sound a bit clearer than his, although that could just be his h/u and amps (I think they're both Kenwood from memory).
$450 sounds reasonable for both the splits and the sub? I know some people who've spent the same on cheaper stuff and just end up spending twice as much more replacing them a month later 'cause of how crap they sounded!
