When I removed mine for the first time I had to give it a bit but I had a load of spares so I wasn't to worried about damaging it, Came off fine and went back on fine even though I did get quite rough with it.

Bottom edge, both hands, fingers under, pull.
Work your way around.
When all loose, lift up parallel to the glass.

Where in NSW are ya? Maybe the previous owner has glued it on? Should not take that much to remove it.

bump?

Why bump? If the previous owner has done something strange, it is up to you to work out what is going on.

HINT: If the door trim is glued down, run a sharp knife along the joint.

Im used to facebook you bump to bring it to peoples attention etc and i shoved a screwdriver with cloth around it and managed to pop it out. Broke a few clips :/ but goes back on fine
