My fault compleatly i was trying to hook up an extra light in the boot and mixed the wires up and ended up joining positive to negative of the boot light globe
now i have a very dim boot light and it wont turn off
testing as 12 volts and if i earth out the earth wire i get full light
put everything back the original way and now it does not turn off and is still very dim
any ideas or is it time for the auto electrician
does anyone know where the switch for the boot light is
everything else in the car electrically is working fine and no fault codes listed

So this has got me stumpped I'm going to Jaycar to buy a pressure switch to mount in the boot lid to run the lights might buy 2 one for the bonnet lighting as well
Or maybe i should just leave the s##t alone LOL

Thanks for the laugh......i needed that. You reminded me that i needed to charge up my aux boot light - 24 LED light with a whacking great magnet on the back. Stays stuck wherever i put it and turns off every time :happy:

glad you got a laugh out of it cause i just about hung myself LOL
put everything back together had everything out but the front seats still didn't get it going and the jay car idea didn't work ( more work needed/intelligence )
so off to bunnings tomorrow to get a 50 LED ( just so its bigger than yours) super whacking great magnet backed light what a great idea
