Hi guys,
Are the front brake slider pins meant to be flat on opposing sides?
If so, they why, and is there a special direction they are meant to face?
And if not, does anyone know the part number for these for a KJ2 FWD?

Try Mits, If it's a single pot PBR I suspect it'll be AW329610. Let us know how you go I've got issues with mine. Just hope you can get the parts still. tried sending an email to PBR ages ago which was ignored. Left side caliper is rattling due to excess play in the guides/pins. I know mine have flats on the sides, good question.

There's a kit also AW329599, has the pins, seals, piston, o-rings

I would expect that these pins are used in other Mitsubishi models, especially ones that share the same 276mm brakes?
Also are they a wear item?
And how do you know yours have an issue?

pretty sure these will be local sourced product so anything we exported with single pot had them so makes it a fairly small field
I'm sure they would wear. problem I had was the pins had seized. the grease was more like a fused mess and corrosion. most likely water ingress. pins were pitted.
Just did the brakes again and they were not seized but pitting bad, protective plating gone and excess clearance. If i kick the tyre the caliper rattles. maybe i could pack more grease. not convinced pins alone will fix it, may need the caliper support as well

That sounds pretty bad. Mine also seized but after cleaning them up they looked visually ok.
But the brakes are not smooth when I use them at higher speeds and higher braking forces. After cleaning the pins and greasing them it became a lot better but still not perfect

It's a shame they did not upgrade the last series . underbraked in my opinion

Yeah, the RalliArt/AWD brakes would've been nice as standard.
