Best? I've been using Magnatec and it has been performing ok - no tappet noise. Wear and tear can only be seen once it's too late.... :D
I'm planning getting something fully synth next time just to see.
The donk has 165 G km on it and uses no oil at all. But I also change (oli) every 5G or 4/5 months anyway.
Seen any K&N oil filters for 3.Gen yet?

I just put in magnatech, definatly a big improvement over the previous oil (which was only 5,000kms old). I like it, but I wouldn't use it for a car thats done over 180,000kms coz it would be way too thin.

I just did my service for 135 000 kms myself a week or so ago. I don't think I did all the nessecary things tho  Routine oil change, oil filter, radiator, spark plug change (I used cheapo NGK normal ones this time), checked brakes, leads, ATF etc...all was happy as larry...well, i thought it was anyways :P

As for engine oil, I used to use Penrite HPR15, but for some reason I changed to Magnatec...I'm thinking of changing back even tho I can't really feel a difference between the two
