Hey everyone, recently had a look under the wheel and noticed there is some scoring on the rear rotor discs, so i was tossing up machine them or replace and i think i will replace as the front one last weekend has a nasty score mark in and vibration when breaking. Best place to buy new rotors from ? Not too expensive please and I will fit them myself. Ive looked on eBay of course and prices vary.
I hope to hear from you soon.

I've used a few brands on my cars over the years and never had an issue with any, they include RDA, IBIS,DBA, PROTEX. personally these days, I'd never bother with getting someone to machine discs. So cheap and easier to deal with a fresh set instead. I've replaced complete disc sets on Subaru liberty, Galant, Astra and Magna , could not be happier.
the last Time I paid someone was in the 90's. i remember it well because they went ahead and machined the fronts on a TR, new pads and they warped under normal driving in under 5000k. Went back and they then said the discs were too thin!
Lovely, so they took my money and told me they were still serviceable when they should have been replaced. My magna got standard DBA but i haggled the price down back in 2009/10. I just did it because it allowed me to keep driving and do it at home, they were badly glazed from getting too hot.
Just make sure you have something to clean the new discs as they coat them with a light oil or protectant to stop rust in storage.
using Supercheap's Online Parts finder, i see REARS PBR for $26 , DBA $47, IBIS $44, PROTEX $46 each
Should be heaps on offer online, Ebay etc
REAR DBA426, RDA426
FRONT RDA425, DBA425

I sell new Protex, use them on all our customers cars, my own cars and are a good rotor
Have them on ebay
There is nothing wrong with machining what you have provided they are over min thickness post machining allowing for wear as well

I have good success using RDA standard rotors. I use them with a high quality brake pad to ensure high performance braking. I bought my last set for 380 brakes online (eBay) for a very good price!

Thank you TW2005, I think getting new rotors is better and easier than machining.

What are you readin? i see they're sets of front rotors with pads! Depending on what you want $135 with standard pads and free delivery. using Supercheap as a guide $90+ for the rotors alone that leaves $40 roughly for the pads and delivery.
seems very competitive to me.

Yeah I'm not sure what you are seeing.
For example, see this (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Rotors-Front-to-suit-Mitsubishi-Magna-TE-TW-1996-to-2005-FWD-DR425-Protex-/191710040979?hash=item2ca2cf1393) link. $85 delivered for front rotors.

Protek down near the bottom of 36 results says $180. There are some cheap rotors from Auto part specialist $55 + shipping for a pair. They must be ok and up to Australian standards of course?

I had in my search Mitsubishi Manga 97 rotor which only gave me 36 results, took out the 97 and up came 400+ results, sorry for the confusion.

anyway depending on what you want , if you're doing the fronts, I did not go digging far in search of rears but the MITSFIX package for the front is cheap enough.
