Okay, have both remotes stopped working suddenly? Or did you just buy the car?

Hello!
Is it possible that the remotes have un-programmed themselves?
See the second post in the following thread. Give that a go and come back!

Plus if these are original remotes you're doing well at 10 years. Common issues I seen with mine, battery carrier breaks free from the circuit board, the silcon pad sweats and releases a sticky goo which gets into the micro switch and makes it jam , the micro switch also fails,
Re-sync would be the first step though to confirm if it's still functional.

tried the ignition key coding with both remotes,no results,no flashing of lites either,so coding
could be intact? vittorio

Did the lights flash to indicate you entered programming mode?
From memory, it took me a few goes to get the three in five seconds right. The indicators should flash to indicate you've entered programming mode.

No worries, glad you're back up and running :)
If both stop working again in a few days, you've got a problem with fuses in yellow box under bonnet.
If one is intermittent and the other one is reliable, the battery holder in the unreliable remote has cracked solders and will need to be replaced or resoldered if you're pretty slick with a soldering iron.
Hopefully they're both okay for good.
