Anyone used this unit (http://www.carjoying.com/quad-core-android-car-radio/quad-core-2-din-android-car-audio/joying-best-head-unit-quad-core-1024-600-android-4-4-4-kitkat-car-stereo-gps-double-2-din-7-inch-radio-audio-navigation-system-16-gb-memory-airplay-obd-wifi-bluetooth-html.html)? (or similar model?) Looks amazing!

It's like an all in one including dashcam! (as per review here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbnfk98uhJM))

Joying JY-UQ124 (other lower spec models here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/android-head-units/carjoying-rk3188-rk3066-2-din-head-units-t3193170)). I used to be sceptical of these chinese android head units due to supported FM frequencies, lag, cant use play store, install official apps, support, etc....but this one looks the goods! (PS- I spotted Mitsubishi boot symbol in there too!)

Being honest, it looks as good as any of the $150-$350 headunit off eBay. No doubt the majority are made in similar ways using similar processes and materials.

All boils down to your budget imo.

Mitsubishi boot symbol (so I believe) can be installed onto almost any double din head unit that has a start up splash screen. My Pioneer double din doesn't have a start-up splash screen so it can't.

I like the fact that the one you tagged has a knob volume control oppose to a button set-up like my Pioneer one. It's annoying to have to keep pressing the button.

I have this unit in my Magna. Lots of features, but I don't use much of them. The biggest gripe is startup time, its about 30 seconds from turning the car on, which is heaps if you're used to instant radio when you start the car.

The home button is a bit laggy, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, irrespective of how hard I press it.

The GPS requires you to install your own which needs a bit of technical knowledge, took me about a day to figure it out and install iGo. It works all good now.

I have an issue with the Bluetooth not automatically connecting to my phone on each startup. It does it for the first 3-4 times I start the car, then somehow it forgets my iphone. It may have to do with my iphone 4S software as I'm running OS6. But its super annoying as its the primary reason I upgraded the unit. Call quality is otherwise good using the external mic.

Have had the unit about 4 months in the car and works great otherwise.

Also, there are very few compatible dashcams available for this unit at the moment, so you're better off getting a separate aftermarket one.
