Hi everyone, have started to get a bit of a squeal in what I think could be the alternator. Will someone please direct me how I should rebuild it or a good guy who sells re-built units.

I would check the belt tension before you go any further.

with the belt off
listen for any bearing noise from the alternator (spin its pully by hand )
is the battery warning light in the instrument panel stay on ......... or does it come on and off
you can replace the regulators on these

I know it might sound bit tame, but I'm always thankful for the guidance and instruction here. Being on the aged pension is a bit of a challenge. So this info is a big money saver.
