hey all i finally got around to getting a tj bootlid and got it sprayed so its going on today is there any mods i need to do to the latch or anything....just wondering

bolts straight on.
Does it need the matching tail lights?
I know the TL lights have a different shape/angle to the TE/TF and the bootlid doesnt fit the older lights

I cant remember if it was TF boot on a TJ, or vice versa, either way, one doesn't fit, and the other leaves a massive gap between the boot and taillights.
5 minute swapover to TJ taillights if you have them on hand. If not, they're cheap enough and everywhere second hand.

i have kj rada tail lights thats why i swapped the bootlid to tj and the only problem i found is the lock barrell is a different design and i didnt have the key for the lock on the tj lid so im off to the locksmiths today to get one cut

You're laughing then mate. The key barrels couldn't swap over? I've just used the key from the donor car (it got stripped anyway), melted a corner of the key with a lighter and slammed it into the desk corner, nice little mark so I know which key goes where lol. Lazy and quick method.
