Hi guys,
Recently the window regulator in my KJ2 broke.
I replaced it with one from a TL.
However, the window does not close properly with the door.
I can align the window such that it sits on the moulding properly, but the issue is I cannot get the top edge of the window to slant inward as much as necessary
Are TL window regulators different?
Who would I go to to fix this if I cannot DIY?
Is there something that could have broke? I remember reading some plastic little bits do tend to break but I am not sure what I am looking for

Two big white plastic fingers bolted to the glass itself pull the glass inwards just before it gets to the top, so that the top edge of the glass goes underneath the top lip. Important to exclude water when it rains and prevent speed whistles.
Wind down another window with the door open, then wind up to see those fingers in action.
Shining a torch down from above on another door will show you where those fingers are and how they operate.
Fingers are either misaligned or one is broken.
Make sure the alignment of the glass is perfect in all other respects, as changing an earlier part of the alignment process will require the fingers to be aligned again.
(Yes, I spent a lot of time getting it right on all 4 windows on my TJ as part of reassembly of the doors after a full colour change paint job.)
Check manual for more details.

Thanks Max.
I know what you mean, the top edge of the glass makes contact just under the lip before the door is closed (as per the manual).
My issue was that no matter how I aligned it, I could not get the glass to lean enough such that this happens.
I'll have a look for those fingers. How do I adjust them?
So far I could only see 7 points of adjusted (top and bottom of the regulator rail, the 2 little pillow things, the 2 stoppers, and the actual adjustment where the glass connects to the regulator)

I've tried to adjust mine by trial and error, didn't work. In last ditch desperation, I went to the manual, the correct procedure and measurements are in there.
To answer your question though - the fingers are bolted through holes in the glass, with spacers and washers on both sides. There is room for them to move up/down and sideways. Try moving them up a bit to increase top end pull in.
Too much stress on them though, and one will break. That was posted as a problem with the passenger side rear window not sealing all of a sudden, years ago, strangely enough. Probably one guy on the production line getting it wrong on a number of cars. lol
But there are plenty of spares at the wreckers. Each third gen has 8 of them.

So they are in the area where those 3 bolts hold the glass to the regulator rail?

No, they are above that, on the actual glass.
Wind a window half way up, shine a torch down there, you will see them.
Looked at the manual yet?

I have the manual where it says the measurements of where the glass is meant to sit when the door is closed but I didn't not see any section with those fingers.
Is this the manual you're referring to or is there another one I am missing?
