It really depends on which brand of headunit. Some will accept the analogue output of the steering control, some will require an adaptor and some will require trial and error.

E. g. My eBay unit has two steering input wires but the Verada only has one output. I had it hooked up to one but could only program s)me of the buttons. I did not have time to test the other input so left it like that.

Be very careful as I have sold so many ECU packs for these cars due to poor quality steering wheel connections etc frying various parts.

Personally I would not recommend using the controls with any aftermarket unit at all

I was going to say that, just don't hook it up to the steering wheel. But not knowing if having the steering wheel controls disconnected would throw any sort of error code, I kept quiet.

Mal?

Great timing. What about Aeropro, they make a new one for the 380? Any experience with these Mal? I am about to buy a new head unit mainly for the reverse camera as I already have factory blue tooth & was going to buy an Aeropro steering switch control set along with the wiring harness ISO. Any advice would be appreciated. Her is the link http://aerpro.com/vehicles/mitsubishi/mitsubishi_380_2004_2010
