Hi Guys,
I've bumped a few old threads in my quest for answers, but I though I would start a new one.
My old man has a 99 TH Exec, car is 3.0l auto and getting tired after 350+ks.
I picked up a complete rear ended TJII 2003, car has drivers SRS airbag, cruise control, ABS, its 3.5l with tiptronic 4 speed.
I'm looking to swap engine and box over at a minimum, but ideally I would like to have the ABS and cruise control, as well.
At the moment I have the engine pulled from the TJ, with a view to swap over into TH this long weekend.
I would like to avoid running the 3.5 with the 3.0l ecu as I want the best fuel economy out of this thing possible.
My current plan was to swap the engine and the complete engine harness that runs through the firewall along with ECU and whatever else it was connected to.
Swap entire steering column and then plug in the BEM (black box drivers side near the key yea?) so I'm using a matching key, BEM and ecu.
Can anyone give me some pointers on if my plan is OK, or potential better ways to go about it?
