My TP is going great, no issues to talk about (except a bit of clear coat has started to peel - now covered up with a nice home made racing stripe complete with fake "2D bolts".)

Pre 1st gen - even the sigma is puttering along great and is currently my drive car.

Post 1st gen - the verada ks is looking great - and is in the garage as usual (I should drive that thing after all the work to get it going!).

Now I hope I haven't jinxed myself into trouble by daring to say they are all without issues at the moment.

Hi everyone, I still drive my TP Magna most days, have hit 3 kangaroos in it, backed into a pole and my mate dropped a small tree across the bonnet.
Poor car has had more hits than Madonna, I am getting good at panel beating lol.

Still driving a TP Elite around, mostly as a weekend car though. Doing some minor cosmetic stuff now, but it's all good.

Rumpfys TP, with NO clear coat problems cos its white, is still bashing around the paddocks. Has a solar panel to keep the battery topped up. Starts first pop. Plenty of space to carry stuff.
Might need a new battery soon after having some 'issues' with shorts when the solar panel alligator clips shorted the battery and flattened it. Four new tyres with 30,000 K have YEARS of life left yet. Dont need pumping up more frequently than twice a year.
A bit thirsty but it is always running cold.

I'm still driving my TP Wagon to work most days and don't plan on ever getting rid of her :) It's still running great after Mal rebuilt the engine a few years ago. It needs a good cut and polish, might have to put some current photo's of her up soon.

How do I get the front bumper off my TP?

2 bolts on each side, take off indicator lights on bumper to get to them, 1 or 2 each side too

wow a real first gen question :facejump:

correct .. two bolts each side behind the indicators try 12 or 14 mm socket

some times there is a brace or holding screws to the guard in each wheel arch

if still there ..check for splash guards screws

check the number plate bolts are not holding onto anything behind the bumper

My old man bought a TM new. Recently, he sold it to the guy who does his gardening for $1.

. . . . on a quiet day, when the wind dies down and the tumbleweeds stop rolling around the wrecker's yard, you can hear the rows of first Gens sigh deeply. Or is it just the sound of rust slowly eating them away? lol
