Hi guys. I've got a 2002 magna wagon sports. Never had any problems with it.

A couple of hours ago I had a new exhaust system fitted. Hi-Flow cat back. After driving for a while, I pulled up and turned the car off. When I started it up again, there is now no acceleration. Its like its in limp mode. Starts fine, idles fine but it just crawls.

Any idea what it could be?

There's a plug near the trans, looking from the engine bay, make sure it hasn't come loose.

Just started the car again, and its revving again. Car's been stopped for about half an hour. Weird. Forgot to mention, I also replaced the TCL solenoid last night as I had the TCL light and engine light on. The replacement fixed this issue. Just wondering if the exhaust has anything to do with it

Problem has returned again. No acceleration. Plug on the trans is ok Ange71. Any more idea's ? As mentioned before, car was perfect before I got the new exhaust system. Coincidence??

Could it be the fuel pump, or would it not start and idle if it was ? Car starts fine, idles fine and will drive at 5 Km's fine, but just won't accelerate or Rev.

was the O2 sensor plugged back in after they replaced the exhaust?

I also replaced the TCL solenoid last night as I had the TCL light and engine light on

Had this exact problem after I disconnected my intake from the throttle body. Make sure the round metal retainer that secures the intake to the throttle body isn't in the way of the TCL solenoid. Just rotate it around so the screw is well clear of the TCL. Amazing how something so simple can cause your car not to run.

If that isn't the problem then it's something in the TCL system, because I had the TCL and Engine lights on and the car wouldn't rev over 1000 RPM, even in neutral. Only drove about 5km/hr.

O2 sensor wasn't touched. It's located just before the Cat, so all good there. The TCL solenoid was replaced yesterday, and all lights are now off.

Car is now running again. After replacing the O2 sensor at $130, it made no difference. I replaced the TCL solenoid again and problem solved. Thanks for everyone's input.
