I know over a hundred people have already posted questions about whether a car they are interested in buying is worth it. But i need someone with some expertise to tell me what they think about this.

Body is good condition (bump on front bumper thats it)
Roof lining falling (no biggie)
Interior door handles broken (no biggie)
CV joints fine
No smoke
Roadworthy Tyres
Gearbox is fine
regularly serviced
No problems eith engine or cv joints or anything..
No Rego/RWC
And is Red

Previously owned by an old lady (apparantly) then owned by his wife since 2001. Been unregistered because he has lost his license and wife is terminally ill so she cant drive.

He wants $2000 for it

Im after one for a mate, not me. And so far this one looks pretty good. The K's are high i know.. But other than that seems fine aye?

What do you guys think? Would i be expecting something to go wrong with a car that high in kilometers?

Yeah that sounds pretty good. You will be looking at 500-1000 bucks to get everythings fixed reg and roadworthy so if you could find one for around $3000 with RWC and reg it would save the mucking around and be on the road rite away. But the car sounds like it would get a RWC pretty easily so that would be alrite. Sounds good but

Has the engine ever been rebuilt or replaced? Those are some pretty high k's and if has never been rebuilt then i personally wouldn't touch it. I would get it checked out by a mechanic or atleast get a compression test done.

Nah engine hasnt been re-built or replaced or anything.. Yea i am second thinking that price for that many k's..

I paid $4k from a dealer so it came with REG and RWC, but i mine had 250k kms on it :(. If i knew at the time what i knew now i wouldn't have bought it, the car does run perfect though its not really a big deal, but if i decided to sell it i'll probably lose 1-2k on it :(. ANYWAY, depending on the condition would depend if its worth it, cuz a rebuild might be around the corner and they're like $2k arn't they? but then i think a 2nd hand 50k km engine is about $500 :nuts: .
