looks great :D It became a whole lot harder spotting your car out on lygon without the wing. Now i can spot ya out again :D
You gave me an idea for your car. Just something to consider. Why dont you go for a black/white kinda theme around your car. Like for example, painting all your grey parts black, as well as all of your grille & rear garnish plate. Think a completely black grille would be an interesting look and would match up really well with your parabolics :D

that's good suggestion you have there John, I'll look into it, Would two BLACK GT strips look good or bad you think??
WaTCHME

nah no gt stripes.
With my suggestion.. all the grey parts black except the sideskirts.. They should be white. puerly to make the car look lower.

Bascially, there's 3 wires connecting to your H4 bulb, there's a red wire and two other wires!
YOU MUST NOT CONNECT THE RED WIRE TO THE H7 bulb. (H7 only takes 2 wires)
If it's still unclear, refer to below:
I drew this up quickly, if you have the Haynes Repair Manual, please refer to chap 12-22 extenal electrical circuit diagram.

Are these Parabolics easily DISASSEMBLED? As in to paint the black parts body colour?
So did my instructions help you ?

Far out. I didn't have to cut any wires to get them to work. All I did was add extra wiring so I didn't have to cut and earthed the spare wire.
Oh, added some Narva 50 plus bulbs on the weekend and I suspect the only difference is from the placebo effect. I checked the numbers on the back of the bulbs and they say Osram. I suspect Narva are just a front for Osram to sell 'performance' bulbs.

the diagram is how to rewire your old H4 socket so you can reuse your old H4 socket to plug into the H7, it will be a tight fit the first time, but after that the prongs will be alright.
H7 is prongs are closer together than the H4 ones

How did you just earthed a wire without disconnecting any of the wires on the H4 socket?
I couldn't work it out so I resorted to cutting, lol , I know though NOT to use the RED wire, haha, that wire cause me all the problems with the Hi Beams coming half on while the low beam were supposed to be on.
are the Narva 50 plus bulbs white colour? I'm after something that's white, not yellow.
did a quick search for H1 and H7 on ebay.au, there's like Hyper White bulbs going for only $19 a pair. pretty cheap I must say. Not sure how long they'll last, but it's cheap!
anyway, gotta colour code the grey side skirts next.

Yeah, my hi's would partially, (very dimly), illuminate. Well, I just ran wire from the plug to the bulb. Looks beautiful. I'll post a pic when I can. I even ran some wire in with the bulb to power a new parker bulb.

it's okay that your hi beams are only very dimly luminated, but when I first wired up my parabolics, the hi beams and the lo beams were luminated equally, same brightness, and it was not good for the oncoming drivings and I don't really get to see the road with the proper brightness of just the lo beams lit up. It probably don't need changing what you've got running right now, but if you ever want to stop the hi beams from luminating dimly, all you got to do is remember not to use the RED wire. lol , and all problems will be fixed.
Q: how much did you pay to buy the Narva 50 plus bulbs (pair)?
I was thinking lately buying a spare pair of headlights for my VR-X for the time when they'll become yellow and unclear from the sun. any of you have yellow unclear headlights yet?
i noticed most of the old Commodores have

Well, I've wired them correctly now so I don't have any issues and they work like they should.
I think I paid $90 all up. Bit of a waste.
