their subs goes pretty hard i reckon, but not too sure about their speakers tho. best bet is to go to jb hifi and have a listen at them.

Yeah ive got a cadence 12" Energy series sub in a 1.75cu home made box its damn loud hits 135-140dB I choose it because i couldnt afford a JL lol. It was $205 but managed to get it for $160 at JB-HiFi and i feel it was money well spent but if you can afford a JL do.

Just remember that their are better componets out their for around the same price as cadence gear but better, splits like Boston FS-60, PG R6.5, Vibe SA-60, Hertz ESK 165 splits can all be had for under $300,

Amps like Audisons SR range, $RRP299 will get you a SRx2 2x 50WRMS amp, RRP$599 SRx2s will give you 180WRMS x2 or 600WRMS x1 @ 4 ohm or a SRx1 350WRMS x1 @ 2ohm for the same price + their is 3, 4 and 5 channels amps all availible in that range and all will sound better than any cadence. Even 60WRMS x2 Kicker amps are going for under $300.

Their subs are loud, but lack SQ. Look at subs like entry level hertz and image dynamics and bostons new G2 range which are equally as loud. My single boston 12.5lf running with 400WRMS from a 2x 150WRMS response amp gives out 135-140db as well in a 1cuft sealed home made box.

There gear is half decent but for a little extra $$$ there is much better gear and sound to be had.

It all comes down to how you like the sound.. The above mentioned splits have to much tweeter for me and lack punch in the bass range imho..(except the PG's)

Youre a boston boy by the sounds of it.. :) Youve plugged them well..

O and just about any decent sub can punch out 135DB running 400WRMS through it..

If youve got the money, go a full PG setup :)

Yes but the Audison amps ( as an example ) will kill the cadence amps in the long run due to their much better slew rate, damping factor and S/N. Not saying Cadence is crap, their are just better things out their for similiar money.

Yes i am a boston boy, love their sound. My sub can do it as it has a sensitivity of 101db lol would love to hook it up to a SRx2s for 140-145db :D

All i can say is e-mail fhrx at fhrx777@bigpond.com.au and see what you can get with a budget before you go spending at strathfield or JB. He deals with more brands then them combined.

lol dont go there, that guy doesnt know ****, work out what ya want then go there n get him down in price, the good thing about JB they buy more bulk then a car audio shop (well i am assuming here) hence should be able to get it cheaper

Oh yeah guys u gotta also realise for some reason WA we dont have much of a range (at Alberts they can bring stuff in for u from east, but it costs a ****load) most places stock usual alpine, pioneer, kenwood, cadence, kicker, sony xplod and so forth

if u look for better stuff like mb quart, focal, eclipse u have to goto certain stores

i aint seen a place in WA selling hertz (word on street no one in WA does) pheonix gold i-d and the like

where's WA? is that some sort of far away distant land i hear so much about...... :D

seriously though, i've got a cadence Q4000 4 channel. and i love it. cadence is an american brand that has recently (in the last few years) been introduced into oz. personally, bang for your buck, i reckon they're great...... not too sure about the splits though, still prefer mb quartz.

instead of spamming and creating another thread, thought i might recycle this.

ok, problem.

I have found a relatively cheap CADENCE Z5000 (http://www.cadencesound.com/action.lasso?-Database=Products&-Table=WEB&-ResponseAny=amplifiers_detail.html&-token.series=Z&-token.description=&-KeyField=ID&-KeyValue=112&-search) on the market, and i took a look at the specs.
it says

1x25 @ 4 ohm
1 x 750 @ 2 ohm

now...this has me thinking WTF! :doubt:

would this mean this amp would have sound crappy quality u wouldn't even poke with a 10 metre pole?
