I found a real nice manual TE  near where i live and im just wondering if there are any common problems that i should look out for when i check it out and is there anything else i should be wary of with a TE?

Thanks :)

Check the drivers side engine mount, plus check the cv joints for leaking grease, it might of had a hard life.
You could check the service history too, and if your up for any major service repairs.
Odd tyre wear.

Cheers.

Go for a drive and get the breaks up to temperature, then break with medium-hard force, keeping the same amount of force the whole time.

If the steering wheel shudders even a little, the front discs are warped (my TE's where when I bought it) Get them to machine them before you buy.

Check if the 90,000K service was done. Thats when the timing belt has to be replaced and is expensive.

Of course, as with any car, get your mechanic to throw it up on a hoist and have a through look over it.
