Well, I haven't had a chance to do anything about it, but I'm gonna start soon.

Having said that, does anyone know if after market parts are available for these yet, or do I have to see mitsubishi?

I'm gonna start off with a new distributer cap, and leads, and go from there, and hopefully this won't turn into an extremely expensive operation.

Distro caps, leads you can get from anywhere. Distro caps you'll find are produced by Bosch, and really that's what the OEM's are anyway, so its pretty much genuine.

Most parts are available aftermarket, just have to know where and what to ask for as most parts places when they hear Magna reply with genuine as they are too stupid and lazy to look up the parts
