I've got mine under the front passanger seat. Its out of sight of prying eyes. I can just chuck what ever in the boot without worrying about my amp getting knocked around so yeah i rekon its a decent location. Havent had any problems with ventilation or anything. i stick a little metal plate along the back of it, which is actually the side of a Computer PSU to stop back seat passangers from kicking the amp and the RCAs connected to the back of it accidently.

Ive got a piece of MDF screwed to the side of my boot, and the amp mounted with rivets up onto that (makes it harder for theives). I like to fiddle with the settings alot and am constantly changing subs etc. So thats convenient for me cause it is still accessable.
If you just want somewhere safe, under your seat is good as Rusty mentioned, if you know how to remove your seat, and can be bothered really...
Or even screw it straight to the back of the rear seats in the boot, a quick solution..
Or just mount it onto your sub box, if its big enough.. Just make sure ur box is mounted to the car somehow or else scumbag theives will knock off your sub and have the amp attached to it!

yeh ive got my amp under the passenger seat. I made a little thin wood backing (like cork board almost) with 2 little bolts punched through it and placed it under the carpet with the bolts sticking up through the carpet. Then the amp goes over the bolts, neat and out of the way, perfect :D
