I have just finished converting to carb to EFI.

But the only problem that has puzzeled me is im not getting any spark from the coil.
I have checked the coil and power transistor as per the manual and is all ok.

When cranking the motor fuel is delivered but no spark from the coil. Now when i turn the ignition to off i get a SPARK.

Any idea's guys???

double check all wiring to the coil. there is an earth that should b put back on (an 8mm nut is undone and the earth put back on) which gives it a spark at all. other than this, i cant see wat else could b wrong. just make sure its all wired up right at the coil etc...

thanks for the input

I have checked all ground connections on the car with sanded panels. i even made a ground kit using some spare cable from my AMP. This is really stressing me out.. my first conversion was the purple 1 and that was sweet as bolt on and start jobie.

I am suspecting i have a faulty ECU or some other ground connection is affecting it.

I have checked the coil wiring like 50 times.

Time for a smoke.

did you replace the dizzy with that of an EFI? the ecu needs info from the crank angle sensor in there to give a spark, happened to me when the connector was dogey, the car would just die.

Thanks meph your making me think its the dizzy thats faulty now.

I have done this conversion before and was pretty much bolt on and off you go.

2nd time round im not getting spark.

Motor has new leads, and sparkies, just no spark from coil

Anymore ideas guys?

FIXED!!!! Was at my parents house for a couple of hrs.

I pulled out the plug for the dizzy and sanded the terminals. Spark @ last! Car didnt run tho. Timing is out.
