hey just wondering if anyone has installed or got an:
-APEXI Auto Turbo Timer

As i am installing one at the moment I am wondering how to connect the three pin relay connection to the key switch. It mentions that you may need a vehicle specific harness.
Does anyone have any information that could help me on this.

The biggest problem you will have for a turbo timer is the ignition immobilser.

The RF car key needs to be in close proximity for it to work ... that is ... it needs to be in the ignition.

Can you scan in the apexi manual ... I'll have a look online and see if I can find it ... and then see if I can help. I have yet to put a turbo timer on ... and would like to ... so now is a good time :) to investigate

Here is the basic wiring setup for the timer and a pic of it as well.
All the general wires are sorted it's just the connection to the key reader.

Just wondering how if you guys are running after market alarm systems. I'm planning to go the boosted root on my Lancer, but not to sure if my alarm supports the use of a turbo timer. The alarm I have is an AutoWatch. I payed close to $400 for it last year.

I'm not using an aftermarket alarm, it's just the one that came stock.
I'm about to find out if there are any problems with the stock alarm etc.

I hope i can fit this timer as it cost quite a bit.
Does anyone know if there is one that is alot easier to fit.

I've actually tried this on my TJ Sports before.. Not sure if it's the same for your model..

The problem is that it can be done... well except that the immobiliser is in the key... which when you remove the key and the Turbo Timer kicks in, it confuses the car into thinking why the engine is running but the ignition is removed and the car is locked..

One way of getting around it is to "electronically" copy the immobiliser and place it near the ignition to avoid the "confusion" .... Anyway, in the end, I scrapped the idea coz it was too troublesome... Oh I got a quote to do the electronic copy thingy, I think it was around 120 bucks or something...
