can you do air induction yourself buy just drilling a hole in your airbox and running a pip to a hole on your front grill, my ford owner mate just did a home job on his el and the car still worked

Yes, its pretty easy to make a cold air intake (CAI) up yourself. The principle is to get as much cool air to the airbox as possible so if you can lead the pipe with minimal bends to an area of cool high pressure air you could get some performance improvement. Make sure you lead it to the pre-filtered side of the air-box though!
I've made a few but not for any magnas. I usually use induction components from cars with bigger engines than the small ones I usually deal with - it tends to look "factory" which can help sometimes.

yeah my magna always use to over heat and since iv put in my cai its being running sik, being on a few long trips too

id have to take a photo man, and i dont get my new dig camera till chrismas but will do then hahahh just bang a hole in your airbox and run it down near your grill, mine isnt forced atm

Thats cool i can wait, what you just said is basically what i'm planning on doing on monday. Did you notice much of a difference?

nah nothing noticable just your car will run cooler
