Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knew much about the gas that is in the air con of a nov, 91 tp??
I dunno when the law came in about the conversions to the new gas, I dont need it yet, but probably soon, and I was wondering if anyone has had to convert theirs and how much the conversion cost them???
Righto thats about it for now.
Thanks for any help.

they change a nozzel and a few seals and charge you 600+ ring some wreckers and ask them for the nozzel. and fit it urself, or buy me a carton to, then go get it regassed for 80 bucks :D

I'm pretty sure 1992 was when all car air con systems in australia had to be fitted with the R134a (new gas). If you wanted to know what sort of gas you have got look at the piping from the compressor. There should be 2 taps/vavles generally coloured red/blue. If you don't have these taps or only have one it would be safe to say that you have the old R12 gas.
what can be done, if you do a net search or get real lucky with a local joint, you can have your r12 sytem with either HR12 or ER12.
search for them in google, thats what im gonna do.
