OK. Here's my serious bit.

Anybody thinking of doing Hayden's trick?

here is my theory. you can fit a astron and a 3L into a gen 2
why not a 3L into a gen 1?

2nd gens are ugly, they dont deserve the 3L

Well, it's proof that you can do so.

sorry to spoil ya fun, but what is to say that they didnt just make a mistake when posting it up for sale?.. i have seen it done before.

as for the 2nd Gens, they are probably one of the best looking magnas!!.. i reckon anyway.

I know ppl in Dunedin so if you want confirmation i could always ask them to go and have a look at it and see what it really has in it.

Well thats just your biased opinion :)

And sadly the Aussie dollar has gone to poo against the NZ dollar so it would probably be around the $6750 mark at best

nah the v3000 is definetly a 3l v6
thats probly half the reason why its called a v3000 :P

i thought i saw somewhere that they're actually slightly narrower than our 1st gen magnas... so there should be room. but then theres probably engine mount issues.

They are the same bodies as the 1st gen, slightly different snout, i believe that the nose panel is the same with that dog ugly grille on it, it has a rear garnish similar to the TM. There were not that many of them, I have a site from Jaoan somewhere in my favourates I will look for and post here with some info on them. Are an interesting car as they are somewhat lighter than the second Gens

So why werent they sold here in Australia  stupid

Madmagna

For the same reason most other good Mitsu's are not, Mitsu is stupid and the government has also a part in this. In addition to this Australians are only now days looking at different cars.

Look at the GTO when it was sold here, it was way over priced and almost none were sold

:D

lets hope you were joking, a vr4 VS any magna? no way, vs booya? no way. no magna has a 2.5L twin turbo engine running on awd, haydns isnt completed yet so i stick to that comment, a vr4 is also smaller and a lot hotter than magnas, i so badly wanted one :(

Killbilly
23-10-2004, 07:47 AM
Yeah Nick's right, that's definitely not an equivalent.

turbo_charade
23-10-2004, 03:39 PM
yeah ide have to say a mildly modded VR4 would chop any magna, even daves TT. they are better setup for track work and is a standard turbo car. My mates has run 42's around a track when STI's with decient drivers were pulling 43's 44's. they are pretty decient cars.

Pitty it looks **** that grill belongs on a merc not a magna  and the elante version doesnt look that good need to be finished off with the rest of the kit
But thos pics KillBilly showd gees thats one cramped engine bay but notice the air box is the same as our gen1efis cept the hole on the side u would think that wouldnt be as good as ours as the air flows threw the whole filter not on the side
