heya guys :)

now, don't shoot me...........i don't own a magna :bowrofl: ..........but i DO own a mitsubishi :D

i own a 1992 mitsubishi canter.........why do i need to scream for help on your forums???...........it's actually factory powered by a 4G54 petrol engine & having just moved to brisbane, i'm having a helluva time finding someone who (a: works on these things (b: has parts for them (mitsubishi aren't any help, if it's older than 5 yrs, they don't stock it)

the only difference that i know of between the 4G54 they put in the magna/pajero etc & the one they bunged in the canters is that the canter version has a beefier oil pump & water pump & the head is different (don't take it as gospel, just what i've been told)

if someone on this forum can point me in the direction of a mitsi specialist in brisbane, i would really appreciate it.........as i'm also toying with the idea of installing a turbo version of the 2.6 into my truck............or a 3.5 ltr V6......LOL...........cheers guys, great forum :D

mate, i'm not from Brisvegas so i can't help you with the servicing.... but the idea of sticking a 6G74 (the 3.5L V6 motor) in sounds brilliant! i'd reccomend one from a Pajero as its a NS engine... if not the 6G72 (3L V6) out of a pajero/triton might do the trick.... or if you're really keen maybe a Toyota ( ) V8 4.5L might be better, a guy i know fit one into a triton, so i guess it will fit into the Canter!! make for one wicked work truck!!!
