Well the person who owned my car before me broke the little hook on the remote so what i assume they did is put the hook through the screw hole and glued it together but now the battery is flat and i cant get the thing open to replace it, dont really wanna shell out for another remote anyone got any suggestions on how to open the thing?
Sledgehammer?
Try putting it in a vice, and prying it apart.

Wow....damn, I broke the hook on the remote too...I just haven't been using the remote ever since. How did he get the hold there? drill a new one? i think i might do that. As for your problem... :doubt:

Mine might be different (TH), but I just worked a flat bladed knife around
the edge where top and bottom join, gently prising it open.
Put in a new CR2032, 3 small dabs of super glue, and back together. :D

2 types of TF remotes are not serviceable
You have to buy new remote when battery goes flat
The battery is hard wired into circuit board
Talk about dig up an old thread surfer....any purpose haha? lol
Why would they make them un-serviceable anyway, that means you gotta fork out $55 for a remote every few years.
