do u mean down the 1/4 or wat. how much faster are the 3rd gen ludes? cause my mate beats me by 2 cars down the 1/4, and thats with higher compression, mild cam and the weber carb on. i would say that he would now beat me (cause i have taken the cam out and have stock compression) by around about 5-6 car lengths over the 1/4 as stock.

it is a twin carby yeah? ya never know, 1st gen ludes are way old it could b down on compression... carbys may be out of tune. and ur car is efi aswell... its hard to say, ive never raced a 1st gen lude.

****..

I got the gen's wrong. I meant to say 3rd gen prelude not 1st

My mate has a 3rd gen lude and he loves it. He doesnt like magna's and he calls my car a sigma sometimes

I took his Prelude for a drive once. They are good but not great. The only thing i liked about it was the handling.

I never plan on racing, i was just curious. I need this car alot atm and it would suck to stuff it up.

My googling skills are failing me right now. I cant find the specs for the 3rd gen ludes but my mate sais that they are around 106Kw stock.

I have no idea if thats true though.

yes... ive driven my mates 3rd gen lude aswell, and it does have the 106kw at the engine stock.

just think... u have the torque over it. i think the 3rd gen lude has around 175nm of torque... they are all top end... if he dosent launch well, u will kill him to 60. just keep racing him to 60 and you should win every time. but yeah, he will kill u after 60... he'll get ahead and just keep pulling as far as the eye can see.

I dont know about performance wise of the two cars..

But i know for sure that if it was based on handling or looks or comfort.. the prelude would win for sure.

I love the looks of 3rd Gens so damned sexy with the 2 door sporty look. And full electrics, sunroof all standard  . 4WS is heaven sent for FWD cars.. Wish Magnas came out with it.

No offence to any gen1 magna owners, i love magnas.. But compared to the preludes, they look like a show box
