Hi all,
I am looking at putting new rubber on the front of my Elante. I currently have Goodyear Eagle GA Plus 205/65R15s on it and have been totally disappointed since they were put on it.
Prior to this I had a set of Hankook's (cant remember which) in a 195/60R15.
I was told by the tyre dealer that the size of the Eagles is why they are **** on my Elante, but I think his hand is on his donger!!!
I prefer the height adjustment with the 205/65s (as I live in the bush) but want to know which I should go for, the 195/60 ir the 205/65?
I have 195/60R15s on mine (some brand from bob janes for $100 per tyre  ) and these work absolutely perfectly in the dry. In the wet, however, theres a bit of slipage especially taking off at oily intersections :)

They sound like the back of the old man's Falcon. Take off in the wet and they are all over the place (they are Goodyears).

Get the 205/65, get more tread on the road because its wider, and leave more rubber when you spin em up :D
I think they are SAVAs (or something like that)

well you should be sticking with 60profile as 65 will make you speedo out i know iknow its like 1.3...........% but if you read the manual its advised to have 195/60/15 (you will find that the cost of thos tires are slightly higher to the stock gen1s with out mags becuase theses are lower porfile)
as for width 195 is fine (stock) but if the price is fine go a lil wider if you wish
I have 195/60/15s on my elante there toyo transis $120 each and i havnt had a problem so far i wouldnt mind them a lil wider but i was lucky to get the 195s at $120 (normally $138) so i was happy :D

Thanks guys, I will let you all know how I get on!
ive got 205/50/r15 on my car for some reason
i got em when i upgraded from the 14's.. and used a tire size calculator to get the exact required size, except they're a little bit smaller than the 14s in diameter.. but only by a few mill. or 3km/h slower
Can someone find the diameter of their 60/r15 or 65/r15 sized tires and reply? .. im thinkin of upgrading em all now next time i need a set
