if your tank is above half full, then maybe try some of these;
-injector clean
-replace fuel filter
-inspect condition of your fuel pump/perhaps replace with superior unit if felt nessary
-inspect fuel rail for signs that shouldnt be there.
-check the level of your engine oil + grade and type of oil being used
start from step one again.

I am getting the exact same thing.
However it only happens when taking a right hand corner...It will never happen on a left hand corner.
I thought the fuel pick up must have somehow been on one side of the tank however this doesn't seem to be the case.

Ive got the same problem but only when i go hard when its under a quarter of a tank...
I get it too when cornering hard, but its not the fuel cutting out for me, its the engine cutting out because of the TRACE Control which is part of the Traction Control. This is meant to happen to avoid understeer when cornering hard. It is Mitsubishi's version of Stability control.
It is good from a safety point of view but it is darn annoying sometimes because you think you can go harder around the corner but the computer plays it safe and thinks you can't so it cuts out the engine for a second. The worst thing is it can't be switched off even when Traction Control is turned off.

I think there was a thread on this a while ago...I think it turned out it was caused by the location of the fuel pickup in the tank, and from what I can remember the VRX's have a different tank and the latter ones are designed to counteract this, but they still have the problem under extreme corners. Dont quote me though.

Yeah - right handers with less than 1/4 tank. Known problem. They did a lot of work to fix the problem in the Ralliarts, but doesn't help the rest of us!

If you want to go hard ... install a surge tank :)
