If I buy a DVD player for the car and I dont have a lcd screen, can it play mp3's on the DVD or should I just get a CD player that can play MP3's?

If its a DVD player that plays MP3's you can use that no porblems. The screen just shows u the names of the MP3's on the cd. So thats not "necessary".. You can still listen and skip through the tracks.

If your planning on buying a screen eventually go for the DVD player as most play MP3's aswell, and TFT Screens are cheap as these days..

no, not all dvd players will play mp3's off a dvd disc... unfortunatly :(

Don't normal cds usually take about 30 seconds to load? by the time you've loaded a 4 gig dvd mp3 disc it'd be 5 minutes later :(
