G'day
I've just bought a 93 TR and was just changing the stereo over and accidently cut two wires at once, and then the interior light went out so I presume I blew a fuse
I can't for the life of me though find which fuse may have blown.... is there more than one fuse box - ie. the fuse box that is under the bonnet? I have the stereo connected up but there's no power to it and still the interior light isn't working so I can only assume it's fuse.
Any ideas?
Cheers!
Rob

happens alot to me, get used to it if your the type to add alot of car audio or electronics to ur car :)

I hope ur car still has the little fuse remover, the fuses are a bit*h to remove without that!

Great - got it working! Oh, I don't actually have a manual which is why I had to post this to find out where it was. I asked the previous owner and he said that the only one was under the bonnet which I knew wouldn't actually be the case.....

 :naughty: Very bad idea!

The circuits in your car are designed to take different loads for a reason.

For example, if you changed a 15amp fuse to a 25amp fuse, you are allowing more current to flow through the circuit. While it will run, in the worst case the extra current could cause the wire to heat up and catch fire!

So, in conclusion...never change a fuse with one of a higher rating!

I'm VERY surprised i havn't blown any fuses in my TR, after setting fire to my lighter plug whilst installing my neons :O. The thing kept sparking and then stopped, and all of a sudden my lighter insert started melting. I havn't noticed anything not working yeh lol
