I have heard of a few people having a bad miss in the V6 KR/KS/TS/KE/TE etc. Happens when under load and mid revs, gets worse the warmer the car gets. Premium fuel helps but does not fix.

On advice from an ex mitsu mechanic I changed the dissy cap. Totally fixed the problem! Although I would recommend you change the rotor at the same time, mine looked pretty average!

I had that problem with mine a while ago, changed the engine mounts and it solved it. Don't ask how that was causing it..but it was lol.

I had exactly the same problem with a TS I once had. I changed everything trying to fix it. I didn't change the dizzy because it looked absolutely perfect. When I did finally change the dizzy, the problem stopped.

This is a well known phenomenon where the high tension spark arcs in the dizzy cap. You can usually see a small thin arc line if you look closely.

Replace the cap or scrape a screw driver across the arc line if out bush. Had it happen to me a couple of times in VW's. Not funny when overtaking.

I too can attest to this. New dizzy, and she's all good :D

Having said that, I'm now rather grumpy at the last mechanic I took it to, as the barstard didn't even inspect the dizzy when he done a major service on it
