just wondering if anyone has some ideas on how to deaden my boot, as thats the only main area that my subs seem to vibrate the hell out of!! the cab is pretty good, no real problems there, but outside the car, all you can hear is a rattling boot!!
any ideas would be much appriciated!!
cheers..

Number plates a shocker, pop some foam/rubber or something in there, Take off the dodgy frame if your car dealer put one on there. Get some sound deadening product from a specialist car audio place. Serenity Max, G-Spot etc. I think a new line is out from serenity a bit cheaper and a bit more in each pack. U can use sound deadening paint if you want. But not as effective. Worst case u can buy flashtac from most hardware stores, ends up being a bit cheaper. Just tar with aluminium flashing.
Then just go nuts on the boot lid. cover as much surface area as possible, double up if you want, esp with flashtac. Try playing test tunes to find vibrations then duct tape anything thats loose. (if uv got an md recorder, find a bassline that makes ur boot go crazy, then put some track marks in and press repeat even if its for half a second, makes things much easier.)
Then after ur happy, you may wanna pop down some fabric over the whole inside of the boot lid to make it look neater.
You can also take out ur back seats and deaden the wall behind that and the insides of the panels, but if ur only worried about outside noise i wouldnt worry...
Yerr people look like fools with their boots rattling louder than their stereos...
Good luck, Hope it helps
