Hey Guys,

Two questions:

1) Can speakers be put into the doors of a TS SE? My mate wants to get rid of the dash speakers but cant find replacements, so i suggested maybe in the doors

2) He also wants to put a new headunit in, has anyone got a wiring diagram of what wire does what behind the stock radio?

Thanks,
Bill

1)Yeh you can do 3 things
a)Cut holes in the door and screw in the speakers
b)Create raisers/door pods and screw the speakers into that
c)Get a verada door trim with pods already on it (although the chances of finding one are next to none ESP. in the colour you need)

2)It should all be written on the stock tape player. Take note of each wire and what the stock radio says it is. If you have a multimetre you can check it that way. I can rustle one up for you if you get stuck assuming the TR/TS wires are identical (which i'd think they would be).

BTW why cant he find dash speakers? if all you're referring to is depth problems you only need to cut the plastic bit that goes accross the hole, 1 minute job and you'll find you have heaps of room for many aftermarket 4 inch speakers.

you can fit 6.5" speakers iin the doors withought any problem.

+ if you gonna add a head unit then rewire the whole thing, the stock wires are too thin, they will melt if you push too much power through.

you can buy my splits and i will throw in the door pods i made for them.
tha'd be hell coool.
i got 6.5" speakers and headunti as well!

/end hijack :)
