Cut the guts and front out of my TJ2's airbox & scoop. These abortions are near criminal in their design!! My fuel economy improved from 11.6 to 11.2/3 by the trip computer, I can deal with that :P

Have cut a lot of the ribbing from inside the 'box too. I got covered in little black shards for hours - God bless rainy days at the carwash!!

My DYI CAI will be for Autos esp AWD and 5spd Autos (as mine is). I've got a load of big bore radiator hoses from mining equipment due soon (all used). Due to space restrictions, pvc may take the honors for some of the build up. I think a split set of pipes may be the order of the day to get the volume of air around the mountain of obstacles around the auto tranny and radiator.

More info as it evolves

EZ Boy - did you do anything with the rubber seal that sits over the intake?

Not yet, just mulling over the clearances. Actually I've been tied up with household duties, but I'm not 'whipped' - honest!

That's all well and good, however if you look at the safety catch for the bonnet latch you'll see it is moulded right over and in front of the air intake. I spent some dosh getting a stainless steel scoop made up whch sits behind the grill and in front of the radiator. Probably would work to if that poxy bonnet safety catch wasn't there. Oh well. Trial and error. I'll post some pics when I find my camera cable.....somwhere in here....eerrrr...uhhh. Yeah i'm looking.... :D

Oh here we are...
