I have a '96 3.0 v6 auto.

I lost 4th gear, it spins like in neutral.

1 to 3 is flarey.

I think it's gone - need to get it reconditioned or I might chance it with a wrecker box.

But I need know if it's a 26mm or 28mm spline shaft?

How would I find this?

I'm not sure if they do them, but I just got a remanufactured manual gearbox from AC Delco, cost just a little more than a rebuild but you get a 3 year/60,000 km warranty as opposed to a 12 month that you'd get with a rebuild and you're guaranteed what's been remanufactured in these ones.

Remanufactured is practically brand new anyway, they replace almost everything, even the housing was new with mine!
