Hey Sasha,
If you look around here long enough you will find plenty of info on what to do. A much quicker way would be to visit RPW's web site. These guys specialise in our vehicles and have most of the mods you'll be wanting on their site. Doesn't mean you have to buy from them, as there are other ways to do things, different brands of things etc. But for the list of engine mods to do to your car, look there, then come back here and search the threads for more info. If you can't find info on something, post a new thread and some nice person will come to your rescue. Many ppl here have done at least a few mods to their cars and are happy to share their experience. RPW is at www.rpw.com.au
Happy hunting!

Have you found the car yet? If not there is one for sale down here in Melb, 1996 Burgandy te 5speed, should be for a reasonable price as wel. Just PM 2much
As for mods, I would reccommend that you search these forums or ask questions as to what you want to do as there are places selling far superior mods for a lot cheaper price.

Greetings All.
WELCOME!! Have you got the car yet?? Or are you just interested in it?? Any how, there are a few basic bolt on mods to make your car go that little bit faster, there are also more complex mods you can do like engine rebuilds and piggy back computers. Im just going to list a options for you. I will also list the most common brands (in order) used in the club and their estimated price. Personally, I would start with an exhaust mod, then a intake, and slowly work your way down the list...I highly recommend upgrading your brakes and suspension to keep up with your performance mods, hence me listing a few good options...
Exhaust
Hi-flow Rear Muffler (Lukey, Red-back, Magnaflow) $140+
2.5" Cat-Back Exhaust System (Red-back, Lukey) $280+
Extractors (Pacemakers, Wildcat) $380+
Intake
Panel Filter Replacement (K&N) $100+
CAI Replacement With Pod (K&N) $600+
Custom CAI With Pod (Contact TH smoker (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/private.php?do=newpm&u=492)) $200+
Suspension
Lowered Springs (King Springs, Lovells, Pedlers) $250+
Strut Brace (Whiteline, K-Mac) $180+
Anti-Sway Bars (Whiteline, K-Mac) $180+
Brakes
Slotted Brake Rotors & Performance Brake Pads (DBA, EBC) $280+pair

Slightly off the topic
I own a 2.4L TE.....TONBA listed a list of "things to do" - when mods are considered.....i want to know wat sort of kW gains (approx) i would get after installing say all of those performance mods TONBA listed?? I love four cylinders, my car has done very low kms and am planning on keeping it for a while! so i do want to do it up.... :D
Thanx

Greetings All.
Ok Maddog. Lets assume you do the following mods to your car...
Pacemaker Extractors & 2.5" Cat-back Redback Exhaust
A Custom CAI And POD
Hi-flow Throttle Body
A New Cam Shaft
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Unichip Piggy Back Computer
Mild Port And Polish
Bored To 2.5L (2500cc)
Id say you should expect around 17-25% More power, And around 10-17% more torque over all. Also, your power delivery curves will change, mainly due to the fact that the cam shafts, throttle body and the extra bore will alter this. Im not sure what power the stock 2.4L 4 Cyl has stock. BUT expect AT LEAST 15-35Kw more power and AT LEAST 25-40Nm extra of torque...
Hope this sheds some light on the subject...Dont flame...
Cheers,

You say custom extractors for 4cyl?? Wat is the advantage of this? and I assume it would cost more than just buyin premade 4cyl extractors??

Greetings All.
Well with custom ones, you could at least make the runners a little longer to try and get more torque...other then that...If they dont see the 4 Cyl ones...its kinda ya only choice...

Hey guys firstly i am on a tight budget so bere with me. I need the maximum performance exhaust at the cheapest price whilst still maintaining quality. I want something a little different like a double exhaust (one on each side) or just the sporty 2 outlet exhaust on the standard side. I don't want a big canon. I want to add some extractors and i think its called a K n N Pod filter as well. But how do i go about getting an exhaust to handle my engine mods?, and what will ensure me fast responsive peformance. How does my fuel economy also fair up against standard to modified?. It is manual a 3.5 litre 2002 magna. AT present it is completely standard. What mods do i start with? I also intend to put 17" rims on it. ANy info you could help with would be great!
