To all those out there who have obtain awesome looking bodykits for your wonderful Magnas and Veradas, did u purchase ur bodykits as off-the-shelf premade kits, or did u have to order a custom built one?

Either way, anyone know any decent ppl in melbourne that would be able to provide a bodykit (premade or custom)?

as mangna owners, we have been deprived for half decent body kits :cry:

as for your custom stuff, i donno bout melbourne, but Aussie Magna is releasing a very very cool kit in the very near future 8) so stay posted for that ;)

Lets just say that my Magna is one of those crapper 4-cyl 2.4L models... it's amazing some of the interesting stuff you can do to 4-cyl cars.... :D :D

There aint any off the shelf kits for magnas unless you wait for the AM kit. If that aint for you then you could try suborn or jetspeed to get something custom done for ya.. However they are pretty expensive.. Before starting work on the AM bodykit jetspeed quoted me 4200 on a custom kit which is only an off the shelf kit modified to fit on a magna.

It depends on the kit theyre modifying to fit on how much they charge normally.. Jetspeed just didnt want to help me out.. They wanted my car for 9 months just to do a widebody conversion for the front guards. Having only a skirt for the rear makes about a $400 difference. Then you also have the difference in price for painting.

Oh and the 4200 i meant painted and fitted too.

The problem with Jetspeed in Melbourne is that if you catch Victor on a bad day, then you aint gonna get sh1t from him. The difference on a good vs a bad day can be anywhere up to 1 to 2 grand. If you want to get a kit from Jetspeed its best to go with someone that he's already done work for or someone who knows him, even then, it has to be a good day. Helluva way to do business hey?! Incidentally, Jetspeed is being sued by N-1 (sole distributors for C-West in Oz) for selling fake C-West bodykits as the original item.

yer, i had a few mates call me once when they say my car 'cruzin' round alice when it was in for service! i wasnt very happy and approached the management of the mitsu service center, and they informed me that it went to get a wheel alighnment :oops:

i think my mates twisted the story a bit tho, they claimed it was 'speeding' and their was 3 guys in it. :?:

then agian, it was a sat mornin, and my mates were prolly blind from the friday night before hand :lol:

but yer, not cool if that was the case! :x id be askin jetspeed some serious questions! and id be taking a speedo picture. there would be no reason for them (cos they make bodykits) to take a customers car for a drive.

when i last went to jetspeed melb they struggled to understand what i wanted the kit to look like (for those who have seen my sketches i think theyd agree they are very easy to understand). and also melbs prices are unreasonable.. better going to suborn or anyone else

yeh once this dam kit is on ill be driving my car a lot more often

thank god they fixed the train crossing at westgarth station.. was worried i'd damage my rims on there. At the moment i take my car down clark street to station street and around the sidestreets down that way (cars got no bumpers and isnt road worthy so i just take it out for small drives once a week)

No the am kit will not accomodate tr-ts magnas. Only te-tj and tl (excl front bar).
