hey all, im trying to figure out what the cause is, i've checked filter, replaced sparks, leads, dizzy cap, dizzy, fuel filter and used 98RON and it still misses between 2,500 and 3,500 and its starting to get really bad.. the timing is currently @ 15BTDC and all the injectors are clean - is it possible that any of the traits beloing to the astron 2.6 are causing it(stem guides, lands etc) ? the car doesent seem to really have a problem with all the pinging(and boy does it get loud) but recently its been getting very sluggy and theres alot of carbon buildup in the plenum and runners.. anyone able to help? :(

I think ive seen this somewhere before, look into your "Torque Converter Lock Up Wire" Disconnect it and then it should be all good. I had the same problem, took it to get fixed and they did this, it has been fine since.

thats the wire to the actuator that attaches the engine side of the torque converter to the drivetrain when it reaches xx speed(usualy 80kmh) isnt it? might give it a shot, but i cant really see it as the cause
engine also idles erraticly, 550-800RPM in park, 450-650 in reverse, 550-700 in drive, but the most annoying thing is its intermittent..
