my car has started missing under a bit of load under 2,500RPM. sometimes its there, sometimes just a little bit and other times it is very very noticable. It feels like the engine totally cuts out for a moment then goes back to normal. I know its not cause of the mods i've done, they've all come off this week due to me clearing my EPA defect 2morrow so the car is nearly stock except for the extractors and an oversize TB.
Any ideas?
Thanks

All the time, it did it today up to 3,000RPM and does it at any throttle position

all i can think of is check spark plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor, and check ECU.

Might be the fuel pressurizing...might be...saw this once before and all we had to do was release the fuel hose from the filter and clean out the filter. worked fine after that, check the return from the rail, see if ya get constant pressure, if not check the fuel filter..clean or replace, otherwise the pump may be on its way out, check the ECU codes. also worth checking that all the electrical connectors are clean and you get consistant spark from the injector connector, could be intermittent spark...

dude, check ur dizzy cap and spark leads, does it feel as though its not firing on all cylinders? if it does its probly the cap. it happend to our old verada (1994??) and it was the cap.
what your looking for is a small trail of carbon from where the spark "jumps" to another lead.

Another vote for the dizzy cap. Mine was doing exactly the same thing, and $85 later from repco for a new dizzy cap, it was sorted.
