How hard is it to rip out the stock head unit and put a new one in, in a Ke verada?
and would i be able to get a "magna pocket" from any audio store to fit underneath it so there is no gap?
also what type of head unit do you guys recommend?
i have stock front splits
pioneer 330w 6 x 9's
350w rms alpine amp and
300w rms type s alpine 12"sub

not hard at all mate, helped my bro do it in my TH yesterday. start with a pick tool and pull the air con ducts out that sit above head unit, then u should be able to find your way from there - couple of screws and a bit of pulling, careful of raw edges.
get an apline mp3 unit, jus got mine hooked up running the stock fronts on high pass and rears and sub off amp. makes even the stock-o's sound ****e loads better

yeah but does that pioneer h/u have loww and high pass filters, cause u need them
Actually, if u don't mind 2nd hand stuff, u can get lots of better stuff for cheap. Ebay is shifty tho.

i got my alpine 9830 for 500 and would recommend it to anyone who wants to control there system abit more then just a cheapy headunit
main features i like are 3 preouts (front back and sub) highpass and lowpass filters, oooo and the wanky motorized face :)
the 9831 which is model up has more features and u can change colour of headunit, looking back i wish i had got this one (hell i only planned to spend 350 on headunit in the first place) but im very happy with my alpine
i would recommend u get splits for front too (dunno what they are like in KE verada, obviously better then my exec stocker speakers) and amp those up then run power form headunit to ur rear 6x9's
