When i put my foot on the clutch, it feels like it's grinding. It's hard to explain but it's like when you walk on charcoal not smooth like it should be.

it's intermittant, sometimes it's fine other times it plays up. Does not matter what speed or revs i'm doing either

any idea's?

Could be thrust bearing or the fork pin is worn and the mechanism is contacting the clutch cover
