Hey guys,

I'm after quality over spl say a 60% clarity 40% volume ratio?

Im looking at getting the a JVC SH series headunit (top of the range)
at a later date attaching an indash LCD screen and an xbox to the system
but for now i just want some advice on the rest of the system.

ive currently got the stock cd/cassette double din headunit
and ive replaced the rear's with JBL 6x9's

the plan is new DECK

Splits
Use the JBL 6x9's maybe cut the bass out with a resistor or something?? and pump it through to
2x 12" subs
not sure what Amps ill need or the configuration of them?

i wanna get best bang for buck

i listen to alot of RnB and techno if this helps, so prolly allrounder subs

i dont mean to knockback advice or be rude to any1, but i reall wanna work out the whole system with 1 of the boards audio nuts. So if you dont wanna sitdown and chat to me about it for a while, let some1 else handle it :)
hehe

thanks guys

Matty

P.S. excuse length of post and babbling :)

if you want the best bang for your buck i would suggest buying single voice coil subs and buying a high powered 4 channel amp and bridge it into 2 channels, running one channel into each subwoofer. It all depends on how much you want to spend though and how loud you want it. Remember you need 10 times the power to get double the volume. Also make sure you look at either continuous power ratings (or RMS) when trying to mach subwoofers with amps, max or peak power ratings are a load of crap. have a look at caraudioaustralia.com to get a good idea of equipment

dont fall into the home brand names trap.. ie sony, kenwood pioneer, etc its all crap.....
look at american brands like earthquake, kicker, rockford, crossfire the good proper stuff that can take a pounding and still maintain composure

Can i ask why you want to put an xbox in your car? hard to play and drive.. I thought about it but unless ur going on a long drive and need to entertain ur passengers there is not real point.. But hey i still love the xbox! I recomend u use Alpine Type R subs they are good for RnB and Dance but then again it depends how it gets installed its amazing how much of a difference the installer can make!!!

All rounder subwoofer - JL

Good bang/quality for buck - Alpine
Pioneer (Bullets)

i dont recommend JVC for deck, but if thats wat u want or thats wat u like, go for it, but if ur interested i recommend ALpine, Clarion, or maybe Pioneer, dpends on ur price range
