Does anyone have any info on the DOHC 6g72TT out of the 91(i think) GTO's? I've had a search but can't find much other than ppl selling them..

Would this be an easier engine conversion than the 6g74's seeing as it's the same block as ours? or is there something completely different?

Am just curious as I only just found out this engine existed and want to know its potential as a magna engine :)

Well, that all depends on what car you've got? I think a 2nd gen V6 might fit but not a 4 cyl without re-engineering engine mounts for a start.

It's a direct bolt in replacement for the second gen V6's. Minor problems do surface, like the turbo placement where the radiator sits, and a few other anciliaries...

For the Astron 4's, there's a few engineering issues, but for the 3rd gens, it is not viable.

sorry redav, enquiring for my 3rd gen.

think I've found the answer anyway.. From photo's I've seen it looks like the engine is reversed to the 3rd gens. ahh well...

yeh is completly mirrored..

but seeing that a motor block is just a motor block, some on suggested just spinning it around and putting on manifolds from the original motor ??????

I was thinking that...I was also thinking about doing that to the DOHC heads...

Cheers,
