Ok went over to my mates place 1pm too swap the lowered suspension and rims from my old TE 4cyl man. to the new TH Sports 6cyl SA.
Sounds easy :)
Well it was pretty easy not that much room so I had to move the TE in and out to turn it around a few times to get to all of the wheels .
Any way after putting them in I was thinking "crap" how am i gonig to reverse out of his garage?.... He has a drive way sloping into the garage ...
And so I decided to wind the springs up abit.... (Glad I go the coil overs now :D )
So I wound them up 5 turns..... (about 4-5mm I think)
After much reversing and forward action and reversing and scraping and packing under the wheels I got out .... only to find that I probably wasnt going to get off the gutter :)
So off came the front wheels again... (I cannot put a trolly jack under it... I have to use the factory jack to lift it then put the trolly jack under it :( )
and this time I woulnd it up 10 more full turns... (about 1-1.5 cm I think)
Got home ok andn went to get in my steep drive way... after trying a few differnt angles... I work out a way to get in without scraping (mm to spare... driver only in car no passanger)...
Then I though ... better try getting out...
I CANNT GET OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY!!!!! :(
I would probably have to reverse out but that would be too hard to try and do all the time...
I WAS supposed to go the NAV run tonight... (CANNOT GO NOW !! :( )
Tommorow Ill wind it up some more and see how it goes..
I guess it was because of the engines... FORGOT that 6's weigh more than 4's :D
Ill post some pics tommorow.. here and on my site.

One of the major things stopping me from getting bodykit + lowered suspension (apart from the fact that I'm a tight arse who doesn't like parting with my hard earned money) is the driveway at work that goes down to our carpark under the building.... goes down on like a 30 degree angle with sharp angles top and bottom.... not a hope in hell getting in and out of there with any of that stuff left in tact.

Mmm - my driveway is viscous as well!! I am left to reversing in and driving out of it!! My front bar - factory - with superlow fronts - gets to about 20mm from the ground driving out of the driveway - so i don't think a bodykit will be close on my list of mods!! maybe i need to re-concrete this driveway as well!!

My last drive I had to concrete because I used to scrape my magna on the curb - it was stock ride height!!!!!

This curb was nasty - the town is based on 4WD's and my poor magna parked on teh rd whenever i was visiting ppl - even with the factory springs!!

driveways in vic suck!!

i've had to modify mine 4 times now
once for the muffler, once for first lowering, once for second lowering, and a full rework of the entry for the bodykit.. still not sure if my car will fit with the kit though.

My drive way is awesome... perfectly level with the street lol!

I live in Vic as well lol... can't wait to get a kit!

The main thing stopping me lowering my TE is the driveway of the house I currently live in.

With 2 extra people in the car the front mud guards scrape really nasty.. not nice.

Nice pic!

I'm guessing you do a bit of photography on the side like a few of the other members here?

My Magna scrapes everything in it's current stock height =/ My dad borrowed the car one day and when I got it back he mentioned something about scraping tow hooks on everything... He usually drives a Honda CR-V and is used to driving like a mad man over kerbs, bins, small children, etc... Oh well =/ If I ever get a kit, I'm going to have to build a small ramp to get up my kerb =///
