hello all,
ran into a minor problem with my TP last week.
Tacho was working in the morning on a trip, the car sat for a few houers while i did a few jobs and had lunch, started it after lunch and found that the tacho was dead, no movement at all...

It's an EFI automatic executive (analog gauges) and dash, it's only done ~93000 kays, been serviced at home by dad every 6 months and looked after very well

Everything else on the dash is working as it should, speedo, temp and other gauges all work corerctly, just the tacho is'nt giving any reading

What could be causing this problem (i'm hoping it's just a fuse or something minor, and hopefully not part of a larger problem)

<edit>
turns out that the problem was with the meter movement on the tacho (whatever that is), got that replaced and now all seems to be well. now I should have trouble free motoring for another 6 months, until the next annoying little problem pops up

sounds like the voltige regulator at the back of the speedo typical gen1 falt... the dashes wornt the best just either replace the regulator or dash and should work :D

The Brown/Grey sheilded wire is loose. The 7v reg only controls the fuel and temperature guages.
