Has anyone removed a factory wing on a TH sports or similar?
I have tried to get it off but can only find one screw in either end, a bolt in the middle and the hole that the wire goes through, but there still seems to be something other than the sticky tape holding it on (?)

there looks like there is another bolt on either side, and i can feel something like one when i put my hand in there but its square and doesnt feel like it has a thread on it..
any suggestions!?

When I took mine off it was just 3 bolts and the sticky stuff, maybe just bash it a few times. :nuts:

Its not that.. People are realising the Magna looks so much nice without one... especially the VRX.. (ive got me a TL bootlid to attach to my VRX.. just gotta make sure it fits)

turns out there were 3 bolts, and two click in bits at either end leaving me with some nice big square holes in my boot lid.
hrm - good excuse to learn some panel beating and paint skills ;)

Yeah the times are changing pornstar but that doesnt mean you have to change all THAT WAS ON YOUR CAR.. i believe that some things can be worked around. Any way I dont get the deal with people de badging there cars and taking **** off. NOT unless they embrassed cause there car is **** lol

Well the reason I wanna debadge my ride, is because of the sh!t sticker/badge crap i have on the back..id prefer some nice chrome badge ones...also ive got one of those "V6" ones on there and i dont want that sh!t there!!

I took the badges off my VRX as it is so much neater, when you see the car you will agree.. the no spoiler just gave it the PHAT agressive touch my little magna needed... :cool: :cool:

badges were faded n shabbby looking...made my rear look neater

i still have chrome mitsubishi across the boot

Debadging I think makes a car look that much neater from behind. It depends though, if i was to debadge mine I would just leave the mitsu symbol on the back.

Magna's have de-winged for ages. I've mine off for ages so no one started a trend...

As for starting trends.. If anyone 'started' a trend it was Jowet.. but i dont think anyone started the trend.. Ive been wanting to remove my wing since i bought the car..

When I had my TE Advance all i wanted was a wing. I also went out and bought a chrome boot 'Triple Diamond' from a TJ to put on the boot.
Now I have a TJ Sports and the first thing to go were the badges (all of the them, replaced with a Diamante boot badge) and I look at my wing every weekend and think that I could rip it off.
It's just a case of wanting what you havent got isnt it? I mean that's why cruises are evil, just when you think you're happy with your car just the way it is, you find something new. It's human nature, and it's so damn fun to boot.
