I'm in the process of trying out different oils, have tried Penrite 10W-40 Street Performance, it was good, engine rev very freely and in 5000km later, it cleaned the engine too (because it came out darker than brown)

the car is running on Magnatec atm, got another 1000km to go, it's okay, but it isn't as nice as Penrite

I'm going to try HPR15 next, 15W-50, and was suggested to me by many knowledgible people.

Magnatec is not good as it picks up all the little shavings in the bottom of your engine and puts them though everything up the top....

i use and recommend GTX 3, ive also tried shell helix [15-50 i think] but did not like it engine started ticking about 3000k's in, gtx3 seems to hold up longer.

Iam now trying mitsubishi's diamond spec oil and so far so good, apparently is very good stuff.

Using Shell Helix Plus. Not sure what was in there before, since this is the first oil change since I got it. The engine has a slightly nicer note above 3500 rpm, but otherwise I haven't noticed much else.

Penzoil, synthetic, it's 5-50 oil and I have never had a ticking problem and the oil comes out nice and clean, i change it every 7500ks. Synthetic is one of those oils you really need to run when the car is almost new. I have run mine on it since 10,000ks and it's now up to 63000. Never a hassle.
